I rarely write reviews, but this book is a must read, in my opinion. She writes in such detail, you feel like you're actually there. There were a few times I had to remind myself, this is fiction, when my heart started racing because I FELT what the character was feeling! This author is that good! I find it hard to believe this is her first book. I'm anxiously awaiting her next!

Wonderful debut
Vera has put together a beautiful piece that captures you from start to finish. It is a journey through past life full of suspense and romance that will have you on the edge of your seat. You will love the characters and endear yourself to them. I do want to let others know there is a trigger warning surrounding rape. I will say that for me it was not overpowering. I had life get in the way a bit and way late getting to this fantastic story so don’t delay! You’ll not regret. Looking forward to the next book. I’m a fan.

The synopsis for this book had all of the hooks for me. Past lives, Ireland, love story, and an FBI murder mystery. Once I got into this book I couldn’t put it down! I’m so happy it’s part of a trilogy because that means there will be more to read! As I was reading this I realized this author has used elements from several of my favourite authors and tv shows. Susanna Kearsley has past life stories that have been my favourite books for decades. The love story Vera Bell writes reminds me at times of Diana Gabaldon’s love story of a strong warrior/leader and an independent and intelligent woman. I also watch quite a few FBI/police dramas and having something like this tie into the book was very entertaining. But the best part is that this book totally stands on its own and I just loved it!”
