Infatuated with Ireland ☘️ A Mini Blog

Updated: May 12, 2023

Welcome to my world of breathtaking Irish sites, stunning Irish mythology, and occasional ramblings about time travel and past lives. And books set in Ireland, of course.

Hi, I'm Vera Bell, the author of the time-travel romantic suspense trilogy, Always & Forever, set in sixteenth-century Ireland and present-day United States. Book One, Through the Veneer of Time, is my debut novel.

As you can plainly see, I'm also infatuated with Outlander, but Scotland isn't the only place with the mysterious standing stones. This picture was taken in Ireland's stunning Beara peninsula in County Kerry during my two-week trip in Ireland. The mystical Uragh Stone Circle stands between the Cloonee and Gleninchaquin Lakes and offers views that take your breath away. It was erected circa 2500 BC and most likely used as a religious temple or an astronomical observatory, but no one knows for sure.

There are absolutely no signs of modernity as far as the eye can see, so for a moment, I truly wondered if I was still in the twenty-first century!

It's nice to meet you :)

What's your favorite place to visit in Ireland? Leave a comment and make sure to check back — I'll be blogging about all things Ireland on a regular basis (more or less).
